Here, that jewel is written into the lehenga itself: column after column of large gold oval medallions run the length of the skirt, each one as ornate as a pendant worn close to the heart. A dense geometric border at the hem, a red dupatta that falls like a veil of light. The jewel and the lehenga are one.
